A Transformational Time—Not a Decline

Like many women, I entered perimenopause thinking I was relatively prepared—until I realised just how under-informed I really was. Despite the countless wellness articles and hormone charts, there’s still a critical gap in how we talk about and support women in the years beyond menstruation.

Science has historically centred fertility and reproduction in women’s health, leaving the menopausal transition understudied and under-supported. But menopause isn’t just an ending—it’s a powerful evolution. It’s not about slowing down, but shifting how we care for ourselves on every level: physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Menopause is More Than Just Ageing

While men and women both experience hormonal changes with age, the process is far more abrupt for women. Oestrogen and progesterone drop dramatically over just a few years, creating a cascade of changes across nearly every body system.

We may experience:

  • Sleep disturbances

  • Brain fog and mood swings

  • Hot flushes and night sweats

  • Increased anxiety or low mood

  • Bone density loss and joint pain

  • Slower metabolism and muscle loss

  • Higher risks of heart disease and cognitive decline

These aren’t just symptoms—they’re signals that our bodies are re-balancing in a new phase of life. And they deserve to be met with compassion, knowledge, and meaningful support.

Craniosacral Therapy: A Gentle Ally for Change

Through my own experience—and years of working with women in this stage of life—I’ve come to see how profoundly the nervous system influences the menopausal journey. That’s why Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is such a valuable resource for navigating this transition.

CST uses light touch to release deep tension in the body and support the craniosacral system. This work helps the body shift into a state of rest and repair—exactly what many of us need when we’re living in a world that encourages us to push through and to keep calm and carry on!

We are not meant to tough out menopause alone—we are meant to move through it with care, tools, and community.

How CST Supports the Menopausal Body

  • Nervous System Regulation: By soothing the fight-or-flight response, CST helps ease anxiety, uplift mood, and support emotional steadiness.

  • Hormonal Support: The endocrine system, which governs hormone production, is closely connected to nervous system health. CST gently supports balance and natural regulation.

  • Pain Relief: CST may help ease tension and discomfort in the body, offering relief from common symptoms like headaches, joint stiffness, or muscular tightness.

  • Sleep & Energy: Many women report better sleep quality and more stable energy levels after CST sessions.

Most importantly, CST creates a space of deep safety and calm—something often missing when your body feels unpredictable or unfamiliar.

Ready to Feel Like Yourself Again?

Craniosacral Therapy isn’t a cure-all—but it’s a deeply supportive and effective approach. It works beautifully alongside nutrition, mindful movement, and a lifestyle that respects your changing needs.

If you’re feeling out of sync, low on energy, or unsure how to navigate this new chapter—you’re not alone.
